How Does a Virtual Race Work?
Virtual races are set for varying distances, but usually have 5k, 10k and Half Marathon distances. You can walk, jog, or run the distance of your choice at any location of your choice. Create your own course, create a group run, or even complete your race at the gym on a treadmill. The decision is yours.
Do I Have to Report My Finishing Time?
No. BlingRunners requires no proof of the completion of the virtual race. Each participant is emailed a bib for the race and will receive a beautiful finishers medal within 60 days of the end of the race window. However, we would love to see your photos and hear about your race experience at our Facebook page.
Why Should I Do a Virtual Race?
Virtual races are cool! They give you an opportunity run a race on your terms and your schedule. Plus, you’ll get to add some serious bling to your collection in the form of our beautiful finishers medals with ribbon. Some of the races also have a designated charity where proceeds of the race go to a great cause.
Who Can Participate?
Everyone! Wheelchair participants too!! We also encourage groups to setup a race to benefit their favorite cause. We provide group discounts if you have 10 or more runners planning to participate. Participating in a virtual race is not only fun, but it’s good for you.
Do I Have to Complete The Entire Distance at One Time?
No. You can break the race into multiple days and multiple runs in one day. It’s totally up to you!
